By focusing on yoga fundamentals we develop body awareness, learn basic postures, focus on proper alignment, and practice coordinating the breath and movements gracefully together. Develop a connection to your physical and energetic body while cultivating strength, balance, and relaxation. Extra attention is given to help the tight hamstringed and vertigo prone among us to yogify with confidence.
Express
The finest ingredients of Bend & Bloom flow lovingly filtered down to a short and sweet one hour indulgence. The perfect yoga bite to re-energize the weary worker, provide breathing room to parents, or satisfy those who want their yoga in compact form.
Intermediate/ Advanced Flow
Our more rigorous flavors of yoga geared toward students who are ready to work with chaturanga and updog variations in sun salutations. A flowing journey that will take back-bending, arm balances, and inversions to the next level. This class detoxifies and exhilarates with a healthy dose of sweat.
Open Flow
A creative, energetic, mixed-level flow class that integrates the fundamentals of yoga through intelligent sequencing and a steady breath. This class will keep you intrigued, enlivened and, ultimately, chilled out. Modifications are offered throughout to make this challenging class accessible to students already familiar with yoga basics.
Slow Flow
Crave a slower pace? With gentle stretches, soulful flows, and yin postures that engage the deeper tissues of the body this class is for you.
Sweet Relief (Flow/ Restorative)
50 minutes of maxed-out flowing yoga followed by a 40 minute blend of deep yin yoga stretches and restorative poses. After your blood is good and pumping from a vigorous practice, we will take it down to rest in yoga postures using supportive props. The results—deep muscle release and calm rejuvenation to the nervous system. Ahhh!
Sweet Relief (Gentle Flow & Restorative)
30 minutes of gentle flow to loosen up tight muscles, warm your body and improve circulation followed by 1 hour of deep yin stretches and rest in yoga postures using supportive props. The results—deep muscle release and calm rejuvenation to the nervous system. Ahhh!
Sunrise Yoga
Discover the difference a morning practice can make in your work day and life. This hour-long, mixed-level class is the perfect yoga bite to energize you for the rest of your day. Please be on time to Sunrise classes, as the door is locked promptly at 7:00. Thank you!
Forrest Yoga
Created by Ana Forrest over 30 years ago, Forrest Yoga is a practice designed to free up physical and emotional blocks in the body. Posed modifications are always given to suit all levels of students. Forrest Yoga teaches you how to build strength safely, work with injuries, and connect more fully to your breath.
What to expect: The first 20-30 minutes of class focuses on opening tight spots, abdominal work, and strength building poses. Then comes the hot part: ride your breath through sun salutations and long held standing poses. Apex poses may include: arm balances, inversions, back bends (modifications given).
** While you will build heat in your body and sweat, Forrest Yoga is nothing like Bikram Yoga.
Anusara® Yoga
Anusara means “flowing with grace”, or “aligning your heart”. Anusara® Yoga is an uplifting and strengthening school of hatha yoga that blends a life-affirming philosophy with the body using the Universal Principles of Alignment. Each class is woven with an attitudinal theme to inspire students to make their practice an expression from the inside-out. Anusara classes include flow, are progressively sequenced, and can be very therapeutic.
Core Integration Flow
Awaken your body and mind’s power by strengthening your core. The core is associated with the Manipura Chakra which is considered the body’s sunshine— when this third Chakra is in balance it gives the rest of the body nourishment and our life force flows abundantly. By integrating the core throughout our yoga flow and taking extra time to target the deepest layers of our abdominal center, we can prevent and alleviate physical ailments and mental challenges.
Postnatal/ Baby & Me – 6 weeks to Crawlers
This class focuses on asana to rejuvenate your body after childbirth. Rebuild strength and soothe the aches of new parenthood while connecting with your newest addition. After 50 minutes of flowing yoga we will focus on bonding with our new babes through infant massage and gentle stretching. Open to all parents and caregivers and infants up to crawlers. Bring an extra baby blanket for your babe to chill on.
Prenatal Yoga
Meet other future mamas and indulge in the benefits of Bend & Bloom prenatal yoga. Our gently flowing practice will help you to improve circulation, ease digestion, maintain a limber spine, strengthen your uterus and pelvic muscles, and simply make you more at ease throughout your pregnancy. We take plenty of time to share and address common challenges we face over the prenatal journey including nausea, constipation, varicose veins, swelling, and back pain. Through yoga, breath work, meditation, and discussion you will develop confidence and nurture your innate wisdom to connect with your baby and enjoy the magical process of pregnancy and birth.
Tots Yoga – Walkers up to 3 and a parent/caregiver
Your babe will celebrate the wonders of mobility, communication, and independent exploration with you in this joyful class. Animated animal poses and imaginative games help toddlers to recognize (and eventually repeat!) patterns and tap their budding creativity. Our tot-centric poses improve motor coordination, cognitive development, and socialization while kids learn about the wonders of their body. For walkers up to 3 and a parent or caregiver.
3-5 year olds
Bend & Bloom’s imaginative yoga adventures and animated poses keep little yogis’ creativity and bodies flowing. Our silly yoga sequences enhance children’s concentration skills while refining their motor coordination. Bend & Bloom’s fun yoga games teach cooperative play and sharpen listening skills as your child transitions to school. Kids yoga will plant the seed for a life-long love of physical and mental well-being.
5-7 year olds
Bend & Bloom taps the enthusiasm of 5-7 year olds by integrating joyful yoga with creative self-expression using storytelling, music, and art. Fun-filled yoga sequences develop strength, coordination, and body awareness while balancing poses and safe experimentation with experiencing the world upside down build self-confidence. We introduce playful breathing exercises, creative imagery, and relaxation skills that your child can carry with them into their increasingly busy school and social lives.
7–10 year olds
This class continues Bend & Bloom’s signature fun-filled kids yoga while introducing spirited, flowing sequences, increasingly challenging balancing poses, and imaginative relaxation tools to nurture the growing independence of 7-10 year olds. Partner poses and team-building yoga games encourage healthy socialization and body image. Your child will develop strength and self-confidence both on and off the yoga mat!
Family Yoga: 2.5-6 year olds
A lively yoga class for you and your child. Classes weave age appropriate poses, with imaginative yoga adventures, art, and music. Partner poses and yoga games encourage parents and kids to work together while limbering up our minds and bodies!
