Bend & Bloom offers classes, workshops, and groups to help you care for yourself and your family through the childbearing years. Whether you’re contemplating pregnancy and parenthood or are well on your way, we offer you a serene setting in which to gather information and support, to practice yoga and to build community. All classes are taught by certified instructors who are well prepared to guide you with the utmost care and attention.

prenatal bellyMeet other future mamas and indulge in the benefits of Bend & Bloom prenatal yoga. Our  gently flowing practice will help you to improve circulation, ease digestion, maintain a limber spine, strengthen your uterus and pelvic muscles, and simply make you more at ease throughout your pregnancy. We take plenty of time to share and address common challenges we face over the prenatal journey including nausea, constipation, varicose veins, swelling, and back pain. Through yoga, breath work, meditation, and discussion you will develop confidence and nurture your innate wisdom to connect with your baby and enjoy the magical process of pregnancy and birth. It is our intention to make you feel well cared for, more calm, comfortable and confident with every class. Our prenatal classes are for women at all stages of pregnancy. No previous yoga experience necessary.

postnatal yoga: mom & baby classes

This class focuses on asana to rejuvenate your body after childbirth. Rebuild strength and soothe the aches of new parenthood while connecting with your newest addition. After 50 minutes of flowing yoga we will focus on bonding with our new babes through infant massage and gentle stretching. Open to all parents and caregivers and babies 6 weeks old up to crawlers. Bring an extra baby blanket for your babe to chill on.

bend & bloom’s prenatal and postnatal teachers

prental yoga pageBeth Donnelly Caban and Lara Kohn Thompson have devoted their practice to serving women and families throughout the childbearing years.

Beth is a certified yoga instructor (Integral Yoga Institute), a certified midwife assistant (The Farm), a labor support doula (DONA), an active birth teacher and a childbirth educator (CEA/MNY).

Lara is certified in Hatha, Prenatal/Postpartum and Therapeutic Yoga through the Integral Yoga Institute, and is a certified APOR practitioner (Approche Posturo-Respiratoire). She offers individualized physical care and training for women – postpartum and beyond, including Integrated Pelvic Floor Health and core training.
