Bend & Bloom’s comprehensive, body-mind centered childbirth education series is geared toward individuals and couples who are interested in understanding and actively participating in the processes of pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum.
The course will prepare you to understand the myriad choices that expectant and new parents face, find the care providers who best suit your needs, ask the questions you need to ask during pregnancy, actively cope with labor and delivery, and care for yourselves and your newborn in practical and holistic ways.
The dynamics of labor, including stages and phases of labor, coping strategies, essentials of labor support, risks/benefits of pain medication and interventions, postpartum adjustments and preparations, breastfeeding basics and newborn care will be covered. Each session includes discussion, hands-on and experiential practices, videos and lots of laughter for an enjoyable and stress-free learning experience.
